Idaho Gives
Full campaign
In 2020 and 2021 I designed the entire Idaho Gives state-wide Day of Giving campaign. By utilizing photography and the snappy copy written by my copywriter, we set out to represent as many nonprofits in Idaho as I could. All of the photographs were found and curated to show what donating during the Day of Giving could help maintain or save. I didn’t want to fall into the trap of showing the community how bad life could be, but rather I wanted to show the positives that come from giving to charity.
The most difficult part of this process was figuring out how to work around the many colors of the Idaho Gives logo. After several days of testing, I realized that you could really only place the logo on a white background. I thought that that was rather limiting and so I pushed the use of colored borders to tie all the different elements together as well.
Unfortunately, by the time we were set to start printing all our materials in early 2020, the world had started to shut down because of Coronavirus. We had to pivot quickly and moved to an all digital format for most of the campaign meaning we didn’t get to print out all the varieties of posters I had designed, but we still flooded social media as best we could. The 2021 campaign was a huge success, raising over $3 million for 646 companies.
